The sleeveless top: Day and night look

Spring is here, and dinner with friends and date nights are coming back on the agenda as the world, in many ways, is returning to its blooming days. We are so ready to spend all our days out and about. Of course, our outfits are all planned around the iconic Filippa Hägg shade – black. Even if black isn’t always the most obvious summer color, it is elegant and chic all year round.

Day look

A pair of denim shorts is a true wardrobe staple, this summer we are opting for a longer bermuda-style fit. Get that french nonchalance look by adding a tailored piece on top – like the oversized blazer. Put your hair up in a claw, for a trendy 90’s vibe, either in a classic tortoise pattern or in a fun color to add playfulness to the look. Add a sneaker for city walking, we love a dad sneaker in a neutral color, such as Filippa’s favorite, the New Balance 990. For a more feminine touch, a classic ballet flat is an obvious choice of footwear. Add personality to the outfit with your favorite jewelry pieces, and don’t forget your signature scent.

Evening look

Change out the shorts for wide-leg trousers for a dressed-up and sophisticated look, perfect for dinner, and a glass of wine with friends. With last year bringing a newfound interest in comfortable fashion, the sleeveless top with its looser fit is perfect. Comfy dressing doesn’t have to mean sweatpants, the tailored pants are (almost) as comfortable but with a much more polished look. Right now, the flip-flop platforms from The Row are having a real fashion moment! Owning a pair is definitely on our wishlist for this summer season. The flip-flop style keeps the look summery and a white shade adds trendiness to the outfit. Top off the look with a bracelet, or a pair of earrings with your hair tucked behind your ears, or in a low bun.
